# Agent Instructions — Wholesale Domestic

This document describes how AI agents can interact with Wholesale Domestic's online store at https://www.wholesaledomestic.com.

> Wholesale Domestic is a UK bathroom retailer selling bathroom suites, toilets, basins, baths, showers, shower enclosures, taps, furniture, heating, tiles and accessories at low prices. It sells online and through showrooms, offers trade and commercial accounts, and provides finance through Klarna and Clearpay. Customer help: help@wholesaledomestic.com, 0344 809 4249.

This is a live transactional store, built on BigCommerce. It publishes a valid Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) profile that declares support for agent-driven commerce. Note, however, that at the time of writing the declared UCP commerce endpoints return 404 and are not yet functional, so an agent cannot currently complete a purchase through UCP. Until those endpoints are working, treat purchasing as something the user completes through the standard website checkout.

## For Personal Shopping Assistants and Agents Acting On Behalf of a User

If you are helping a user shop, you can browse the catalogue, search, compare products, check availability and price, and help the user assemble a selection. The store declares a UCP commerce endpoint, but it is not yet responding (see below), so do not rely on it to complete a purchase. Hand off to the user to complete checkout on the standard website.

Do not complete a purchase or submit payment without the user's explicit approval at the moment of checkout. Do not submit account or personal data on a user's behalf without consent.

## Commerce Protocol (UCP)

This store publishes a valid UCP profile that declares support for agent-driven commerce. **Current status: the declared commerce endpoints are not yet functional** (calls to the catalogue and checkout routes return 404), so agents cannot transact through UCP at present. The details below describe what the profile declares; verify the endpoints respond before relying on them.

- **Discovery:** `GET /.well-known/ucp` (published and valid)
- **Declared service endpoint (REST):** `https://www.wholesaledomestic.com/api/ucp` (currently returns 404 on the catalogue and checkout routes)
- **UCP version:** `2026-04-08`
- **Declared capabilities:** cart, checkout, discount, fulfilment (shipping, with multi-destination support) and order.
- **Declared payment:** Google Pay (processed via Cybersource). Card networks: Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB.

### Rules

- **Do not assume the commerce endpoints work.** Confirm a live response before attempting any cart or checkout operation; fall back to the standard website checkout otherwise.
- **Checkout requires explicit buyer approval.** If and when the endpoints are functional, an agent must not complete payment without the user's clear consent at the point of purchase.
- **Use the discovery document as the source of truth.** Read `/.well-known/ucp` for the current capabilities, schemas and payment handlers rather than assuming them.
- **Disallowed areas.** The robots.txt disallows account, cart, checkout, login, admin and internal search paths, plus sort and faceted filter parameters. Respect these for crawling.

- AI crawlers (including GPTBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot, Google-Extended and others) are permitted by robots.txt with a 10-second crawl delay.

This store is built on BigCommerce (Stencil). It is server-rendered HTML and publishes a Universal Commerce Protocol profile at `/.well-known/ucp`, declaring a service endpoint at `/api/ucp`. At the time of writing the declared commerce endpoints are not yet functional (they return 404), so the store advertises UCP support but cannot yet transact through it.
