Founded in 1963 by Walter Toward Senior, Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms was established with a clear mission: to offer a broad range of bathroom products at great prices to the people of Britain. Fast forward to today, Wholesale Domestic is now owned by Walter Senior's grandson, Brian Toward, along with Walter's son, Derek Toward.

Our story

Wholesale Domestic's journey began over five decades ago in 1963 as a small family-run business with only a couple of staff. Over the years, we've grown from these humble beginnings into one of the UK's leading bathroom retailers, known for our exceptional products and unmatched customer service. Today, we proudly employ over 100 staff.

In 1990, we moved to our 20,000-square-foot flagship Glasgow showroom on Hillington Road, where we remain today. This location was renovated in 2020 to further improve our facilities. Our expansion continued with the opening of our Aberdeen showroom in 2019 and another in Edinburgh in 2021.

In 2022, we upgraded our website and operations, making things smoother and more efficient for our customers shopping online.

As we continue to grow, our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction remains at the heart of everything we do.

Our charity work

At Wholesale Domestic Bathrooms, we believe in the power of community and are committed to giving back and helping where we can. That's why, in 2021, we launched Wholesale Domestic Charitable Champions – a committee of our employees who organise events and challenges to raise money for our chosen charity partner each year.

We've been proud to support a wide range of charitable efforts over the years. Most recently, in 2024, we participated in The Glasgow Kiltwalk, raising over £2,000 for Beatson Cancer Charity.

Additionally, we have a recycling project in place – the money raised from recycled cans and plastic bottles is donated to the STV Children's Appeal.
