Backer boards are essential when installing a shower or a shower enclosure, as they provide an additional barrier between the wet space and the wall, which can lead to structural problems.
Backer boards are installed using adhesive and rawl plugs, they are affixed to the wall and drilled into place, however, a gap remains between the boards that should be sealed for best results.
Using our reinforcing joint tape holds the backer boards in place for installation or tiling, but they also prevent leaks and moisture damage which can occur over time.
