The McAlpine 1¼" Polypropylene Anti-Syphon Bottle Trap is a bottle trap fitted with an anti-syphon valve and a 75mm water seal, designed to stop the water seal being pulled out by syphonage in basins prone to gurgling or slow draining.

Made from white polypropylene and tested to BS EN 274-1:2002, it stands 172mm high with a 1¼" inlet, a 75mm water seal and a 1¼" multifit compression outlet. The anti-syphon valve admits air into the pipe when negative pressure builds up, protecting the water seal.

It's recommended for basins on shared or long waste runs where standard traps are prone to losing their seal, helping to prevent odours from syphoned-out traps.
