Year after year, we think of reasons why not to do something. I do it myself. I tell myself I’ll get round to it next year, but strangely when the next year rolls round, there’s more reasons to put it off. Sometimes this is a kind of self-preservation tactic; you’ve just spent too much money on a new car, a holiday, another renovation that you just can’t even conceive of the idea to spend even more and your ‘next year’ mantra kicks in.
It’s not all bad, I mean, like me, you probably feel pretty fly that you’ve managed to evade the dreaded task for another year. But what if I told you that this just causes more drama than actually biting the bullet? Well, take it from me, it does. I won’t bore you with the specifics, but I’ve been putting off a certain renovation for around 5 years (don’t judge me). This year I finally couldn’t listen to myself put it off for another year and just got on with it, and honestly it wasn’t as bad as I had built it up in my head.
So this week I’m sharing 4 reasons why NOW is the best time to finally take the plunge (sorry, I couldn’t help myself).
1. There’s never a perfect time
I’m just going to say it, there will never be a perfect time for a renovation like this. It’s always going to cause a certain amount of inconvenience, but that’s okay. A little mess really isn’t the end of the world, and in a few weeks you won’t even remember what your old bathroom used to look like, never mind the mild disruption. You’ll be far too smitten with your gorgeous new bathroom! I know what you’re going to say, ‘I can’t afford it’, but I’ll get to that, stay with me.
2. If you start now it will be done before you have to think about Christmas
Now is the ideal time to renovate you bathroom. Why? Well, by the time Christmas appears the renovation will be a distant memory, and you’ll be left with a bathroom that you’ll want to show off. Trust me. Our products can be collected the same day if you live near our showroom, or can be delivered in 2-5 working days if you don’t. You should expect your plumber and tiler to complete your room from start to finish in around 10-14 days. Let’s put this in perspective, shall we? – I’ve had colds that have lasted longer!
3. A new bathroom adds value to your home
No matter if you’re thinking about moving or have found your forever home, a new bathroom will add value to your property. Most buyers don’t want to renovate a bathroom, so by choosing a budget option you can sell your home faster and get more money for it. For those of you who aren’t going anywhere, a new bathroom can enhance your everyday life and make you feel better about where you live. You should aim to renovate your bathroom every 10 years, which ensures that plumbing is up to date, and functionality is best suited to your current demands.
4. A new bathroom costs less than you think at Wholesale Domestic
Okay, so there are some companies out there that will give you quote that will instantly make you weep. But our range is different. Our complete bathrooms start at just £209.90 to make sure you can freshen your bathroom design on any budget. It’s realistic to design an entire bathroom, and I do mean entire for around £500. No tricks, nothing extra to add, just amazing prices and top quality products. So if your bathroom sports a classic coloured bathroom suite (avocado? Baby pink?). Or something a bit more majestic like dolphin tiles and shell motifs everywhere (don’t laugh, it was a thing back in the day), then it’s time to start planning your new bathroom now.
It’s time to take the proverbial bull by the horns! Don’t put it off any longer, you’ll thank me later when you’re basking in the bliss of your new bathroom.
